Biographical history
Army & Navy Stores Ltd was governed by a board of directors, with
ratification by the shareholders. In 1973, it was acquired by House of Fraser
Ltd. It continued to exist and function independently as a subsidiary company
and to be governed by its own shareholders and board of directors until 1981
when it was transferred to House of Fraser (Stores) Ltd and shortly afterwards
liquidated.

1973. It continued to be governed by its own board of directors until 1981 when
the company was liquidated and the business absorbed by House of
Fraser.
