Wright Brothers Ltd, Drapers, was incorporated as a private limited commpany in 1929. The company became associated with Great Northern & Southern General Store and HL Reid &Co Ltd the group going on to purchase Hide & Co Ltd in 1948. Hide & Co Ltd then bought Wright Bros Ltd in 1940, and ran it as a subsidiary company. Hide & Co Ltd, together with its subsidiaries was bought by House of Fraser in 1975.
