D M Brown (Wholesale) Ltd was formed to deal with the wholesale side of the business, while D M Brown Ltd continued with the retail side of the business. The company's registered offices were at Rankine’s Court, Dundee. In September 1952, the Scottish Drapery Corporation and its subsidiaries were acquired by House of Fraser Ltd, department store retailers, of Glasgow. D M Brown (Wholesale) Ltd ceased to exist some time after 1952.
